There are so many islands around Phuket it is hard to choose where to go first! Here are our highlights:

Phang Nga Bay lies between the mainland and Phuket. The bay is recognizable by its vertical limestone karsts, majestic rock formations, mangrove forests, small islands and coral reefs. Among the islands are Koh Tapu, famous for the James Bond movie The Man with the Golden Gun and Koh Phanak, known for its caves and lagoons.

The Krabi Islands, east of Phuket, featuring hundreds of islands, mostly uninhabited, will dazzle you with their white-sand beaches, coral reefs and intricate cave systems offering picturesque landscapes and clear waters, ideal for snorkeling.

Koh Hong on the Krabi coastline welcomes you with white-gold sand so soft it feels as if you’re walking on powder. High limestone cliffs shelter the spectacular lagoon where the water changes from a deep green to a startling jade. Take time to explore the bay with its exotic wildlife including giant monitor lizards and white-faced gibbons.

Phi Phi Islands known as ‘the jewels of the Andaman Sea’ are considered one of the most naturally beautiful places in the world and it’s easy to see why. Sheer cliffs rise out from the sea on your approach only to give way to beach-fronted jungle. Diving is a big draw thanks to the huge variety of marine life (the whole island region is part of a marine national park) and for the adrenaline junkie there is also the opportunity to snorkel with sharks!

Koh Racha Noi, the smaller of the Racha Islands, offers some truly spectacular dive sites with giant underwater boulders, great visibility, and stunning scenery. There is deep water around the island, so you often see large pelagic visitors such as barracudas, eagle rays, marbled stingrays and even manta rays.

Racha Yai, the bigger of the Racha Islands, is a beautiful tropical island and a dive paradise featuring hard coral reefs, colourful shallow water coral gardens, and even several small wrecks making this island a favourite destination for everyone.

Koh Khai is an enchanting tropical oasis, small enough to cross is matter of minutes. Step into the shallow water and be surrounded by colourful exotic fish in moments. Swimming and snorkeling the spectacular, shallow reef are the order of the day simply admire the views with a glass of cold rosé in hand.
