Immigration Office Denies Entry to Yacht Travellers in Bali

On Saturday, December 2, 2023, the Immigration Office Class I (TPI) Benoa demonstrated its resolute stance towards four Foreign Nationals (FNs) who entered Bali via a yacht without adhering to the obligation of reporting their vessel’s arrival to Immigration authorities. The rejected FNs hailed from Russia, Germany, and Lebanon. This decision was made in response to violations of immigration rules outlined in Article 18, paragraph 1, Letter A of Law No. 6 of 2011 Regarding Immigration.

Entry Denial and Reasons:
In an official release by the Immigration Office Class I (TPI) Benoa, the four FNs were denied entry to Bali due to their non-compliance with reporting the arrival of their yacht to Immigration officials. This regulation is stipulated in immigration legislation, and transgressions of Article 18, paragraph 1, letter a of Law No. 6 of 2011 are deemed serious by the authorities.

Warning to Foreign Travelers:
The decision to deny entry is intended as a cautionary measure for foreign travelers planning to enter Bali using a yacht. The obligation to report the arrival of their vessel to Immigration authorities is a crucial step that must be taken seriously. With this incident, it is hoped that foreign travelers will be more compliant with immigration rules and reporting obligations to the Immigration Office.

Immigration Office Action:
The decisive action taken by the Immigration Office Class I (TPI) Benoa reflects the authorities’ commitment to maintaining security and order in their jurisdiction. Simultaneously, it serves as a preventive measure to deter similar violations in the future. The Immigration Office hopes that this decision will have a positive impact on raising awareness among foreign travelers about the importance of adhering to immigration regulations.
