Areas of responsibility:

  1. Sales Strategy & Support:
  • Collaborate with the Head of Sales to develop and implement effective sales strategies, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Maintain a list of all pre-owned boats listed on Yacht Sourcing’s website and update regularly. I.e.: add new listings and remove boats that may have been sold.
  • Continuously review information and images on the website and ensure all information and listings related to pre-owned yacht sales are up to date.
  • Monitor existing dealership agreements e.g., to proactively renew contracts that are expiring.

 

  1. Market Research:
  • Based on your target portfolio (as directed by the CCO), conduct market research to identify potential areas for business growth.
  • Analyze competitor offerings and market trends for the target audience/portfolio. e.g.: RIBs/tenders, Charter sales, Yacht sales
  • Develop a list of potential contacts for cold outreach for your target portfolio.

 

  1. Lead Generation:
  • Proactively pursue new business opportunities via cold outreach (calls, email,LinkedIn, Instagram etc.).
  • Generate and track leads in CRM (or other Sales tracking system as directed).

 

  1. Client Engagement & Representing Yacht Sourcing Externally:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understand their needs, and
  • ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Traveling to visit prospects and clients.
  • Representation at industry shows & events.

 

  1. Proposal & Sales:
  • Contribute to the creation of compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches to
  • prospective clients, showcasing the unique value proposition of Yacht Sourcing.
  • Continuously refine and optimize the sales pitch based on client feedback and
  • market responses.
  • Conduct price negotiations, offering options and finalizing terms of sale.
  • Manage the delivery process, providing post-sale customer support.

 

  1. Teamwork & professional development:
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitors, offerings, and emerging charter destinations.
  • Stay updated on industry knowledge and charter market developments and provide training or guidance to the other members of the sales and marketing team when necessary.
  • Promote a friendly & collaborative work environment within your department and with other departments.
  • Encourage a culture of ongoing learning and development.
  • Provide timely feedback (both positive & constructive) to your colleagues.
  • Prepare for and attend: team meetings, performance reviews and regular check-ins as requested by your manager (CCO)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in English both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully driving business development initiatives, meeting targets, and achieving revenue growth.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to identify market trends and capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, partners, and internal teams.
  • Sales acumen: Adept at understanding client needs, negotiating deals, and closing sales to contribute to revenue objectives.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and senior management.
  • Ability to travel 20-30% of the time, depending on the business need

EXPERIENCES

  • 3-5 years working experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably within the maritime or luxury industry.
  • Track record of successfully managing and closing deals.
  • Familiarity with the yachting industry, and/or luxury market is advantageous
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
