INSA Yacht Festival Returned to Benoa Marina for its biggest gathering yet.
For a country made up of more than 17,000 islands, Indonesia’s yachting industry remains relatively young. Against that backdrop, the INSA Yacht Festival has established a unique position as the only event of its kind in Indonesia. Now in its third year, the three day festival brought together industry leaders, prospective buyers, international partners and government representatives to celebrate the growth of the sector and discuss the issues shaping its future.
Beyond the yachts on display, the festival provides a platform for discussions around Indonesian cabotage laws, temporary importation regulations and the infrastructure needed to support the country’s growing yachting market. This includes everything from deep water berthing and eco marina development to combining modern hull composites with traditional Phinisi craftsmanship.
As one of the businesses helping drive that growth, Yacht Sourcing had a strong presence throughout the festival. Its private VIP lounge sat elevated above the marina, with a dedicated space for private consultations. Representatives from partners including Al Dhaen and Yanmar also joined the team, giving visitors direct access to several of the international brands represented by Yacht Sourcing.

Nearby, By & Large had its own booth showcasing bespoke private yacht charters around Bali. The festival also marked the soft launch of its collaboration with The Apurva Kempinski Bali on the Spice Route Voyage, a seven day sailing itinerary inspired by Indonesia’s historic spice trade routes.
One of the weekend’s highlights came on Friday evening with Yacht Sourcing’s Sunset Soirée aboard Signature, its newest 48.5 metre Phinisi. With six ensuite cabins, Signature is set to sail for Raja Ampat this November. Clients, partners and guests gathered onboard for cocktails, a DJ and live saxophonist over the sunset.

Yacht Sourcing also presented a varied selection of vessels throughout the marina. A new Yanmar VX30B was on display, while the Al Dhaen 310 and 365 were presented for both charter and coownership. The pre owned selection included a Fountaine Pajot Astrea 42 and Senous, also forming part of Yacht Sourcing’s wider offering. Private tours ran throughout the weekend, while Sunday’s sea trials allowed prospective buyers to experience selected vessels firsthand.
This year’s festival reflected an industry becoming more established, more connected and increasingly ambitious. For Yacht Sourcing, it brought together the different sides of the business in one place, from brokerage and brand representation to charters and life on the water.
