Pick up a yacht charter in Koh Samui and you’re in the cruising areas of Ko Tao, a spot that’s known the world over for it’s amazing scuba diving sites, and Koh Phangan, where full moon parties go on until the next morning. If you want to really explore Koh Samui, it’s worth sailing around the island, as there are loads of places to stop off and see the sights. From the amusingly shaped Hin Ta & Hin Yai rocks, to hiking trails and fishing villages, there are all sort of things to see along the coast, and with your luxury yacht charter in Koh Samui, you can see it all in a couple of days, or at a much more leisurely pace if you like.
Ko Tao is a great place to visit if you hire a boat. Ferry crossings are limited each week, so it makes sense to charter a yacht so you can get to the island in comfort and style. Around Ko Tao, you’ll find some incredible diving sites, with rays, whale sharks and green turtles swimming up close to you. Or you can simply find a quiet beach and stretch out under some palm trees. Koh Phangan is only about 30 minutes away if you take a private yacht charter from Koh Samui, and this means you can spend the day on the island, or spend a few days anchored offshore. Koh Phangan is Thailand’s fifth largest island and a bit of a notorious party spot but visiting via yacht makes it easy to find the quieter beaches if you wish. Haad Chao Phao on the west coast is one of the more remote beaches and has 1km of sand so there’s plenty of space to stretch out.
